BottleFit is a company that offers a new line of ergonomic, useful, eco-friendly and innovative drinks containers to our customers, taking into account the new trend forward a healthy life style and the necessity to make a responsible use of natural resources and protect the environment.
Characteristics of a Miission Statement
7. includes nine components customers, products or services, markets, technology, concern for survival/growth/profits, philosophy, self-concept, concern for public image, concern for employees.
Technology:We believe that technology is something you see in the finished product and how we work inside our company, we think this is something very specific when we are trying to have a more widespread concept of what we are. Although the mission explained that we are focus on the environment and how to manage resources in a responsable way, we know that there are technologies that are focus on this and we believe we can show this later in a more specific way while we develop our company.
Concern for Survival: We think that the mission needs to show who we are, not how we are goin to survive in the environment. Obviously is a fact that we have to consider, because is the way we are going to contunie in the market and in the competition, but we are going to consider it later in a more specific way.
Concern for Employees: We believe that this can be best reflected in the policies of our company. we do not want to focus too much on the issue, because we are a small company at this moment, but this does not mean that we will leave behind.
Before the industrial revolution, people’s lifestyle changed a lot, the consumerism increased and the high production rates began to damage the environment. The food industry started to change by producing a huge amount of products that are not entirely healthy. Despite that, thanks to science, information and communication technologies, and medicine, we have started to change our minds about the things we eat because we are learning that it can affect our health in many ways. New trends like “fitness people” (having a healthy lifestyle) are getting stronger with the time. The protein shakes, natural juices, and functional shakes started to be part of our daily nutrition plans. However, it is a waste of natural resources and harmful for the environment to use plastic bottles for every single shake or juice we drink, that’s why we decided to create MyBottle in order to enjoy our shakes in a personalized, comfortable and useful drinks container that at the same time helps the environment by using eco-friendly resources and decreasing the massive production of plastic or glass bottles.
To be recognized in Colombia by offering eco-friendly, useful, and innovating drink containers.
Characteristics of a Vision Statement
1. Broad in scope: Our vision is short and wants to transmit a clear message without including percentages, numbers, etc. that are not crucial and can blur the essential message we want to transmit.
2. Less tan 250 words in length; we use less than 250 words cause we try to synthesize what is crucial of our vision.
3. Inspiring: We focus the message of our vision in not only the advantages and pursue of our product but also in the mission its has so people can connect with it and feel inspire but with want to transmit.
4. Identity the utility of a firm product: We found that for our vision was crucial to mention the utility of our product taking into account that is a creative and new product in the market that gives a regular product a new and better way to use.
6. Reveal that the firm is environmentally responsible: Our companies is focus on the commercialization of an ecofriendly product, each one of its biggest purpose is to help the environment by reducing the use of plastic bootless in an innovated way, that’s why in our vision, we stand the fact that our product is ecofriendly so people connect with that part of that vision that is focus on helping to environment.
7. Nine components:
Customers: It is not specified because we considre that our product is worth for everyone, from children, to older people. Our target is Colombia.
Concern for survival: As time goes by, this factors might change. We prefer to keep a simple vision statement so as the company grows, this factors will become more relevant ad grow with us.
Concern for employees: Our employees are very important for us, but as the company is still very small, we hope to get more people and grow in a way that is more relevant to specify this factors on the statement.
8. Reconciliatory: It is clear that every company's main goal is to satisfy their clients. We thought that it was not a factor that had to be specified on the vision statement.
9. Enduring: We hope to give the best quality products to our customers, and to get their loyalty through this characteristic.
Vision and mission statement is important because it defines the base of the company, it represents what is the company and also what it wants to become in the future, also helps to reflect the personal visions that managers and employees have in their futures.
